I've seen the reviews on here for the hell that is the chocolate coin maker and similar. But I may still buy one for DD.

Which one is the least crap?

Ha, shall watch with interest as dd wants one too

Am watching this with interest too! My DD wants the chocolate lolly maker! I've tried to talk her into something else but the lady is not for turning!

DD is 7 and got a coin maker for christmas last year , despite me trying to disuade her. She loves using it, but she cannot work through the necessary processes independently. I end up helping every time . They don't work properly and I would say don't waste your time and money.

Has she particularly asked for one?

If not could you get a load of nice silicon chocolate/lollypop moulds from Hobbycraft/Lakeland and little bits like sprinkles, nuts, sticks etc?

Ladyhaha · 08/10/2013 18:43

My DD got the chocolate lolly maker last year. The moulds are fine, but the thing you're meant to use to melt the chocolate is completely useless so I melt it in the microwave instead. I wish I hadn't wasted my money, it's barely been used.

I have bought dd a chocolate making kit off zulily for £8.99 as the John and arms ones have such bad reviews, this one comes with 3 silicone moulds and a little pan for melting the chocolate in.

Lakeland also have loads of nice chocolate moulds.

The lakeland bits and bobs look good. Thanks for the recommendations. I could put a little kit together.

Exactly what Ladyhaha said, DD got it for her birthday last November, it has been usd twice because it is such a bloody faff to make three dinky lollys that are wolfed dow in three seconds flat.
