dd (almost 10 and thinks she's a boy) is getting a PS3 with book of spells, a pokemon onesie and a giant minion (which will be wrapped up with despicable me 2 dvd). Have also pre ordered pokemon y for the ds.

Ds is 11 on 21st December, so this year is a double nightmare, the hardest year yet.
I think we will give in and get him (and dd12) an ipod touch.
He wants an X-box, but we already have a Wii, and there is only one tv in the house, so he's not getting that.
Also we will get him Terry Pratchett books and Fifa14 for the Wii, and probably some Lego too. As its also his birthday, I really need some more ideas!
Oh, also a football kit, and ball!
I find him so hard to buy for!

DS is having an xbox one
I have noticed that as they get older their present piles get smaller but appreciate in value dramatically :o

topbanana I'd only just talked No2 son out of a PS4 on the basis that he had a PS3 and had just spent half his birthday money on new controllers and various other stuff for it and that he needed a better PC/Laptop more. Then I ordered the laptop........then the PS3 broke!!!

Luckily I have managed to replace the hard drive all by myself at a cost of £40 odd. Whew!!

and yes, pile getting smaller but cost shooting up Sad

DS1 has just turned 11 and is in Y6.
So far I have bought:
Lego Technic set
Fifa 2014 game

Have also pre-ordered the new Wimpy Kid book.

For his birthday he had a netbook and tickets to see War Horse.
