Can you recommend me some Christmas books for a toddler?

DD will be almost two at Christmas. I'd like to get some books about Christmas that will give her a bit of a feel about Father Christmas and stockings and reindeer etc. (sorry, we're not religious). I've bought The Night Before Christmas. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Stickman by Julia Donaldson is very popular with dd1.

Happy Christmas Boris is wonderful - Boris is a cuddly orange puppet, basically,and he has to help Santa deliver all the presents (when I say puppet, i mean the book has a puppet that you have to move around)

that's Not My Reindeer or That's Not My Santa - two years is just the right age to get the most out of those.

Twenty-Five December Lane is good for a longer lasting story.

Mr snow from Mr men is Christmasy as is Mr Christmas!

DD reads stickman in the nursery. Didn't know it's about christmas. Thanks for the heads up. I'll be adding it to my amazon shopping basket. She loves her Julia Donaldson's books.

I got a Dora christmas last year. While she loves it, I hate it. Nothing rhymes and there's basically no story. It feels like it's written by an intern .

Lucy and Tom's Christmas by Shirley Hughes is sweet, and good for explaining what will happen at Christmastime to little ones.

Morris' Disappearing Bag by Rosemary Wells is my personal favorite!

Also my DDs had a lovely musical book that played christmas songs, anything like that is lovely.

Dear Father Christmas (the Jeanne Willis one) is fab. It rhymes and there are stickers too - it was a firm favourite last year with my then almost 2 year old.

The Dinosaur who Pooed Christmas - can't remember the author but it's very funny.

I'm impressed with Hive.co.uk - I ordered on Tuesday and the books were delivered on Thursday. So they were quicker (and cheaper) than if I'd ordered from Amazon.
