Daughter wants a ladder for Christmas

After weeks and weeks of my nagging, my 8 year old daughter sat down and listed items she would like as Christmas and Birthday presents FOR THE NEXT TEN YEARS. Her list has 147 entries. The following caught my eye and are reproduced exactly as seen with my comments in square braces:

A Medusa head (pretend) [Phew! ToysRUs have sold the real one!]
Water bed [you wha...?!]
Baby lizard in a cage
Niting set [Comb and Hedrin are now on my Xmas shopping list]
Ladder [!!!]
Horse riding lessons
Stones (shiny ones)
Bagpipes [No, no and, again, NO. Unless she means a picture]
A book on how to make breakfast
Lantern [...for her time-travelling smuggling activities, I guess]
Drum kit
Bow and arrow lessons
Horse riding lessons again [sigh ... ]
Radio t-shirt
White motor bike helmet with pink flowers
Army jacket
Nerf rebel heartbreaker bow
Long red dress
Roller skaters [How many and why?]
Cup with a name on it ["Jill"? "Peter"? "Gaddafi"?]
Colourful school bag. We're allowed mum!
Wood workshop
Robot fish
A diamond collar, toys and a bed for the cat [We don't have a cat]
An afro

that is the best Christmas list I have read! Grin I love the fact she wants all that stuff for a non existent cat Grin Grin

Aw this is brilliant! Grin
Your DD sounds hilarious.......and your added comments are brilliant too!
I'd LOVE to see your Amazon recommendations off the back of this wish list....!

TessTackle · 07/10/2013 11:59

You have to get her an Afro wig and shove it in her stocking so it pops out when she opens it Grin

PeterParkerSays · 07/10/2013 12:08

Does she have a birthday before Christmas? If so, you may find that "cat" features highly on her request list...... Grin

FindMeAHouse · 07/10/2013 12:11

Grin love the Afro and cup with a name on it! Go on, get one with a random name on it- you know you want to!

Carmody · 07/10/2013 12:42

Given how fussy she is with her food, her "How to make breakfast" book only needs one page saying: "Pour into bowl. Add milk".

definitely get her an afro wig!

I think my DS (3) would love a ladder too!

A real one or a rope ladder?

I wanted a big tool kit for years and everyone thought it was a joke. No, I really did want as big tool kit with a drill. I bought my own in the end (after even DH thought it was a joke).

Buy the child her ladder! Unless its a mistake and she actually wants an adder.
