... I need a board game as a 'family' gift to suit grown ups, 7 yo, 4yo and 3yo. And a 'special' book for 3yo.

we've played monopoly since our youngest was 3. We've got a themed one, not sure they'd enjoy the traditional version. We also all like Operation.

Thanks Twinkly - hadn't considered Monopoly but a themed one is a good idea. I think I've seen a 'Cars' one come to think of it!

The jolly postman as the book? Lovely story and you get to open and read all the letters.

What about cranium cadoo? (I think that's the kids version). I've had fun playing that with young children before.

DS loved Buckaroo and Tumbling Monkeys (like Kerplunk) at 3, and neither are too tedious for adults.

Oliver Jeffers' books for children are lovely, for about 3-5 year olds. Very original stories, and quirky drgs. I love "Stuck", ds loves "The Amazing Book Eating Boy".

The Jolly Postman - yes, that's perfect! Thank you Five Smile
