Looking for a game similar to countdown but suitable for young child? Is there such a thing?

Dd2 is obsessed with countdown and loves playing along, she also loves scrabble, the only countdown board game I can find is quite old ( not sure if there's a newer version coming out ), are there any kids board games which are similar ( but a bit more colourful )? Has to be a game where you have to make words, she also enjoys the maths puzzles on their too but that's not as important as the letters :)

Dd2 is 7 and has ASD so is quite young for her age ( apart from when it comes to number and letter games).

Boggle?

I was going to say Boggle too. It's good but can get very addictive!

Have you seen bananagrams. My 7yr old DS loves this game! It's a bit like scrabble but you all have to build your own individual crossword. Games are quick, last up to 15 mins. You have to race against each other to use all your letters up. Comes in a banana shaped bag. Brilliant for taking to restaurants and on holiday etc.

Thank you, will look at boggle and bananagrams Grin.

There used to be a game called Upwords too, like Scrabble but you can build the letters up to change words.

Ahh, I had a game too when I was younger where you had magnetic hexagons with letters on that stuck together and you had to make words. Trying to think what it was called!
