Am I right in thinking it will start on Friday 29th November?

OP posts:
Sparklegeek · 28/11/2013 17:25

Patricia same here!

Don't think I'm going to keep it. Have already bought loads of stuff I had no idea we needed - including the Lego, a ceiling lightshow thingie, a 3DS XL, a wireless speaker thing & God knows what else.

Combined with ordinary Christmas shopping I'm doing I've had 5 Amazon parcels delivered today Blush

WhispersOfWickedness · 28/11/2013 17:26

Bird - maybe post on the Christmas bargains thread? I think there is a dedicated Amazon one because of the nature of the lightning deals that they do, if that makes sense?
The whole concept is expanding though, so maybe next year we should do a generic Black Friday deals thread!

woodwaj · 28/11/2013 17:28

Hi all,

I only read the last couple of pages but just incase you didn't know Selfridges are having an event Thurs to Sun 20% everything Selfridges and 10% off concessions. You can get the voucher from Money Saving Experts website

Pogosticks · 28/11/2013 17:37

I just got the Tom Gates set - checked book people, ebay, book depository etc and the amazon price is actually v v good.

hoppingmad · 28/11/2013 17:40

Ziggy, I'm sure he will be thrilled Grin

I had the 3ds & the ride on Mercedes in my basket but put them back. Ds has a birthday soon but think he would rather have an iPod touch (it's a special birthday Smile) & the ride on was only actually £18 off and dtwins are far too young for it

I did get a necklace for dm though, I'm not sure if I like it or not yet so might end up returning it

Housemum · 28/11/2013 17:53

Back from work to get 3 parcels from neighbour and 1 out of the recycling bin Blush

so far have (this is like the Generation Game without the cuddly toy)

3DS with Mario Kart
Piano for Dummies book
Clothes airer
Iron
Pressure washer
Window Vac
Dustbuster
Doorbell
Label Printer
Kettle

and waiting for
PS3
Quilting for Dummies
Lunch bag
Remote control toy
huge direct debit to pay my Amazon card at the end of the month.

Have actually paid off half in advance so it doesn't feel so bad! (And hoping that my electricity/gas bill refund comes through soon as that's what I've been spending!)

Typical! Bought the Just Dance 2014 game to go with the PS3 as it was a good price, now see it's coming up on the deals tomorrow! Oh well, if he saving is mega it's worth sending one back if I can get it.

ginmakesitallok · 28/11/2013 18:57

I just got the silver bamboo bangle...... I need to stop now! Received dp's jacket today, it's horrible and going back.

Jux · 28/11/2013 18:59

I got my pans on a Black Friday deal a couple of years ago. They are still lovely and I love them. Every time Masterchef is on, I annoy my family by saying "Oh look! They've got my pans!"

Sadly I don't have much money this year....

WhispersOfWickedness · 28/11/2013 19:00

Phew, I'm glad tonight wasn't last night, I've only just sat down after the whole dinner/bedtime frenzy, that would have been a bit fraught with the 7pm bargains of yesterday!

Jux · 28/11/2013 19:14

Are there any Kindles? I am being pathetic and can't really make head or tail of their site (blame multiple migraines today).

I specifically looked for this thread for support. Grin

I've bought 2 things I didn't need. A Ben Sherman watch for DH, who loves the watch he has, and a set of Joseph bowls. What I really wanted was the over-bath airer which I missed and I didn't realise I could get it from being on the waiting list until a message popped up in the corner saying the offer had expired. Angry

rushes back to Amazon

justmuddlingalong · 28/11/2013 19:30

Does anyone know what time the UK online Black Friday deals (JL, Argos etc) start? Will it be late tonight or early tomorrow morning?

TheDayOfMyDoctor · 28/11/2013 19:52

Aaarrggghhh, I have the circular pan set in my basket, 10 minutes to checkout. I do need new pans desperately, but haven't really researched what I want. Does anyone know if they are a good buy?!.

MiracleOntheM4 · 28/11/2013 19:54

I've contacted JL to find out just but no reply. By my reckoning it will either be midnight or 8am in line with Amazon. DH is after a new TV (which we don't need but that's another thread...) so he is staying up until midnight just in case.

chicaguapa · 28/11/2013 19:55

If I had £150 I'd buy the Circulon pan set. They're really good quality and I noticed that set are dishwasher safe too.

TheDayOfMyDoctor · 28/11/2013 19:56

The metal utensil safe thing appeals too...

TheDayOfMyDoctor · 28/11/2013 19:58

Bought them. DH is out. Must get him to pick up some wine on the way home so I can tell him gently Grin

justmuddlingalong · 28/11/2013 19:58

Think I'll stay up tonight and see if there are any bargains to be had. Will post if I find any websites starting early. Hope you get a TV for a good price Miracle. Grin

GlitteredPinecones · 28/11/2013 20:02

I need a tv too, preferably 32 inch. Please post if anyone sees one under £200 :) Thanks

Nerfmother · 28/11/2013 20:21

Just seen the kurio - don't! Spent all day trying to wrangle with the kurio pretend iPod touch version and it is sooooo shite. Leap pad much better or even kindle with parental controls. You can't stop in app purchases, you have to put piggy bank money across but they can spend that on six million toothpaste tubes if they want. So no way of stopping a purchase but you limit the amount. I put six quid in the piggy bank, and then tried to spend it on ds account and no problem whatsoever. Plus the child profile mode doesn't have a picture or image option so you aren't sure if you are using it as a child or parent owner. Really gutted at how bad it is after leap pad. It's for ds Xmas present.

Nerfmother · 28/11/2013 20:22

Excuse the essay. As you were.

hoppingmad · 28/11/2013 20:22

Yay Grin I got the soda stream - I think it's a good deal. Dh has been wanting one for ages!
