Christmas films for 2 year old

My ds will be 2.5 at Christmas and I'm already getting excited at all the things we can do this year that he will hopefully have a better understanding of!

I'd love to get a Christmas DVD that we can watch as a family (poss on Christmas Eve) but not really sure what's suitable.

Any recommendations? He has quite a short attention span!

The Polar express is nice, but maybe a little complicated for a short attention span.
The Grinch is always fun, and Jim Carey is hilarious in it.
The Snowman.

The Polar Express really held my DD's attentions when she was (just) 3. She blimmin loved it.

Polar Express can't wait to get it out and watch it. DS2 loved it last year but he was 3.5.

Snowman is also great DS2 was about 2.5 when he wanted that on every morning in the run up to Xmas.

Have you tried Portable North Pole, it has been a tradition for us to wait and let our two see their personalised video on Christmas Eve.

My DD was 2 last Christmas and she's a pretty good movie watcher, but The Polar Express was too dark and quite dull for her..

She loved Arthur Christmas, Santa Paws, the snowman & Father Christmas & Mickeys Christmas Carol etc..

Muppets scared the life out of her, which is very sadness use its my favourite!!

The Curious George Xmas film. Fantastic. It is the soundtrack to our Xmas's now.

The Mickey Mouse Once Upon An Xmas's, there's more than one are great too. You can usually buy them really cheap in a multi pack.

Mickey Mouse types are good options at that age, and the Snowman or Father Christmas.

However my (particularly sensitive Hmm) 5YO DD1 is still too scared to watch the Grinch, so that might be a little old for a 2YO yet. I think the Polar Express is also a lot to ask of a little 2YO (mine (DD2 is 2YO) wouldn't sit through that, although DD1 loves it).

I'm going to check out the Curious George film.... thanks for that one Kinect.

When mine were that age we had bbc compilation video (shows how long ago!) with Christmas related programmes of eg postman pat etc. not sure at 2.5 they will sit through a full film? Just had a quick google and saw a few including a cbbeeis DVD. Can't get link to work on phone but search on bbc, DVD, Christmas,children

I got 5 or so christmas related peppa pig episodes. It's not a movie, but I know my 2yo's attention span is very very short. And she loves peppa pig. I just bought them on itunes. If you search for 'peppa pig christmas', they are all on the first 10 hits.

Forgot to say they also have a christmas compilation with 10 shows for £8.99. You can work out which way is cheaper for you.

DD is 3 in oct and loved polar express! liked elf, the peppa pigs, loved the gruffalo, gruffalo's child etc. But she is also quite into The best toyshop in the world and miracle on 34th street Hmm

We're already watching polar express on a weekly basis Blush ds 2.9 found it in the cupboard, going to 'lose' it soon until nearer Christmas, but he loves it and does seem to get it.

If you go on YouTube, you can find the and the . Both are lovely for younger children. Length and content are more suitable than a lot of other Christmas films.

All of my 3 children have all loved mickeys twice upon xmas ,still watch it now .also the littlest light on the Christmas tree is a sweet film, agree with Peppa pig xmas episodes too. X

Mickey's once and twice upon a Christmas are firm favourites in this house. Dd likes to watch at least once a month. This year I got Arthur Christmas for them.

I agree with posters about Polar Express, it was so dull - dd was bored after 20 minutes.
