Presents for DD(12) who already has everything she needs?

DD has her 12th birthday coming up and can't think of anything to ask for. GPs etc are asking her and she's getting herself worked up about it.

We are doing up her bedroom, buying a new duvet & cover etc. She's also getting her Beano subscription renewed.

I've said to just put some money in her bank account and use it when she can think of something. But she's worried about the anti-climax of no actual presents to open on her birthday. She's not spoilt and I hope it doesn't come across that way. She's just on the cusp of having presents to open as a child and getting money as a teenager.

She already has a Kindle Fire, a PC in her room & mobile phone. She's said she doesn't really want an iPod, clothes, a necklace, skateboard, BMX or a new school bag. She's a bit of a tomboy and not into make-up or her appearance.

She likes minecraft, reading and animals. We discussed adopting an animal but she's done that before and was a bit non-commital. She has some books and smaller things on her wishlist but GPs want to buy her a main present. Confused

Thanks. Some nice suggestions there. I'll run them by her.

I asked her if she fancied a zookeeper day, but then saw they were all £££.

any kids' film making courses near you? DD has been to several locally, at £50 a time for 2 days.

I have just bought a fur throw for DD's bedroom, and various cushions.

telescope
guitar
beanbag
photo printer
giant canvas and acrylic paints
other art stuff
a couple of riding lessons

She'd love a film making course as she makes animated films. I'll have a look for one.

A photo printer sounds good actually. I'd never have thought of that!
