iPod touch, kindle fire or monster high tablet for dd(9)?

Which would you recommend?

I'm veering towards the kindle fire. She's asked for the monster high tab but it's more expensive and I suspect in a year or so she wouldn't want to be seen with it.

The iPod touch is great but more expensive again, and of course the screen is smaller. Her older sister has 2 and she has access to one of them anyway.

I haven't used a kindle fire though, we tend to be an apple family but her older sister got a kindle at that age and she used it a lot, this would be like that but with access to apps etc? Can you get YouTube on it? She spends most of her time online watching my little pony on YouTube.

So any recommendations? I'm writing up my shopping lists.

I wouldn't get the Monster High one simply because it is so linked to the characters - and she may well have outgrown them in a few months.

DD always had an iPod Touch - we use iTunes at home, so same apps/music/films as on my iPad and phone, no duplication. I find Apple pretty intuitive.

I have a Kindle Fire but I don't like it. I know some people love it though. I won mine - but imo it isn't a patch on the iPad - and no use as a Kindle reading device as it is a tablet screen - so can't see anything in the sun.
