so yes, this has indeed been stolen from the sparkly side but it really is a good idea. It allows you to keep a centralised list that can be updated as and when and gives inspiration (or the opportunity to steal) from others ideas.

Sorry for not being clear.

It's a thread for everyone to write down their gift lists for Christmas, to keep track of things and to share ideas/gets tips for gifts. So the things I have written is what I have gotten or will be getting for my eldest. For me it helps by keeping a centralised list (that I can't lose).

Hope that's a bit clearer (I havent slept in 4 years!).

There's also an app called no more socks which a good way of keeping track.

But I always buy socks

Ah, thanks for that beawesht. I like the fact that being able to share lists means being able to take/give inspiration from others, rather than scrolls and scrolls of threads asking what to buy a 2/3/4/45 year old.

I'm not sure if it's just not wanted/needed on here or if perhaps it's just a bit too early?

We're doing a £5 limit per adult only to be spent in poundland/home bargains etc to see what we can get for each other with that.

I love the idea of setting a specific budget for extended family gifts, it just makes you have to be more creative.

I had been thinking about doing some mini homemade treat hampers for extended family: HM chocolates, peppermint creams, flavoured fudge, truffles maybe even flavoured vodka jelly shots.

I'm going to be getting the hamper boxes from eBay, there's a shop that do different coloured and sized boxes at a very reasonable price, especially if you buy in bulk.
