If you have, what do you think of it and what age kids did you buy it for? Thinking of getting it as a joint present for two boys aged 3 and 5 but it's such a lot of money I just want to be sure it's as good as it looks!

I don't have it yet but I'm planning on getting it for DS who will be 5, he is mad on fire engines so will love it, I'm waiting for a bargain though! It looks quite robust though x

Yes we have it, my 5 year old has had it a couple of years and loves it. Plenty of accessories very robust once put together, folds together nicely. Both of my children play with it daily, well worth the money in my opinion.

How much did you manage to get it for? is it worth hanging on for bargains? I'm very excited bout getting it Grin

Thanks for the feedback - wasn't sure if the eldest boy would still get much use out of it but he is police and fire mad so I guess he would. Good to know it's solid too. Have just noticed that it's available on the Mothercare site with 15% off at the moment, so £85 with free delivery. Now the guessing game - is that a good price or will it be cheaper again in a few weeks??!!

Did you check our the price history on camelcamelcamel Lifesagame?

snappybadger · 03/09/2013 22:51

I would definitely recommend holding out until closer to Christmas. I bought it twice for my son last November, the first time for £56 and then again for £52.50 (I returned the first purchase). I think it was reduced to half price (it was £120 last year) and then there was a 20% off code around. and a few days later 25% discount code.

The first one I bought on 19th November and the second on 28th November.

Hope that helps!

Oh, and I can't give any feedback on the actual product yet as it's going to be his present this Christmas (he'll be 2.9).

Yes, got it for around sixty quid last year for 3yo DS. It IS worth it. He loves it, plays for hours and has transferred other figures, such as Dr Who and Playmobil pirates, into it.

snappybadger · 03/09/2013 22:55

Sorry, just remembered it was reduced to half price from £140 (so down to £70). Just noticed it's only £100 nowadays at full price!

Wow! Ive just looked at this on ELC had really been struggling for a main present for my lil man, definitely getting him one of these, he will love it! Think I may hold out uf I can though, they do have quite alot of sales x

Guitargirl · 04/09/2013 12:17

I bought it last year for my 4-year old son. He doesn't play with it much to be honest. Don't buy it full-price. I bought it at 50% off last year, wait until half-term, ELC often does 50% during or around half-terms.

Cantbelieveimsuchanidiot · 05/09/2013 18:14

Mine doesn't play with it much either, he has the imaginext fire station which gets more use.
He is 4.2

He played with it a bit more last Christmas when he had it but not that much. I keep threatening to get rid of it as its huge but he won't let me. I have to say my ds doesn't bother much with toys in general though so it could just be him. He's having mainly books this year!
