I put my Christmas food order into M&S on 13th October last year, I think that was in the first week you could do it (maybe even the first day Blush).

BiddyPop · 03/09/2013 09:52

How are you getting on with the planning Olivia?

OliviaMMumsnet · 03/09/2013 10:24

Getting there biddypop

Stockings are done except for choc coins and maybe some pants for them both.

Presents for DC are done Grin

Have bought little cotton tote bags with initals on which am planning to stuff with choc for copious nieces/nephews/godchildren

DS2's birthday present (november) arrived on Saturday (tenner off at amazon- whoop!)

xmas pjs - done (including 2 BN sleepsuits if needed)

Both mine and DHs family do secret santa generally for adults but it felt a bit rude to demand that we draw our "lots" in August but as soon as the kids go back this week I will be in Bossy DD/DDIL mode Wink

Just DH to do really.

Oh. And all the sodding wrapping

Am going to skip xmas cards this year and do new year ones I think.

I am still regularly googling thinking about pop up pre lit xmas trees but DH is real traditionalist and always likes to go real (which I do too but I think we should be making life as easy as poss- also tree takes up a lot of room and we are likely to have a houseful of visitors)

Looks like you are certainly well on the way!!

Your DH could just get a small small real tree to put on a table or sideboard, with battery lights on it, so that it doesn't take up all the room, and hang lots of swags of greenery on the bannistairs etc instead Wink - still get the smell and feel of real plants without losing half the sitting room.

Sorry Anne, I wasn't deliberately ignoring you - I can't offer advice on the question as we don't have the same shops here. But it's good to know if in the UK.

Yoo-hoo! Olivia!!

I asked in M&S today and they said it is out two weeks today, so that should be the 7th October.

I can't wait!
