I've decided that I want to try to make my own table linen with pretty festive fabric, but some of the ones I've found look a bit, erm, tacky. Any advice on where to look?

Dunelm Mill had some last year. Don't know if it's tacky or not Wink.

Ooohhh......I love Dunelm - never realised that they did Christmas fabric! Thanks, I'll go and investigate

I don't see any Christmas designs online at Dunelm at the moment, but they definitely had them in store in Dec last year.

John Lewis usually stock them too. We might be a little ahead of the game though!

Sometimes there are significant drawbacks to trying to be well prepared! Grin

Not sure where you are but if you happen to be anywhere near Manchester then Abakahns and Leon's fabric wear house in Chorlton both had Christmas fabric last year

I've just bought some lovely Christmas fabric online. Plush Addicts has some gorgeous ranges and Fabric Inspirations.

Most Hobbycrafts also do bundles of Christmas Fat Quarters etc.

Try www.fabricrehab.co.uk - they have a 'funky Christmas' range. I adore their fabric and always end up spending far too much!

Cotton Patch have quite a large range, going from tacky to oddly unfestive via some nice ones.

Ikea usually have a red white gingham which works for Christmas. Have you a colour scheme in mind? How about adding silver or gold trim to plain white or cream fabric

Oooohhhh....lots of suggestions! Thanks all, I'm going to have lots of fun investigating these!

Sorry frankly - colour scheme is always red and gold with ?cream/ivory - it's worrying how set in my ways I am! Love the idea of adding trim - that would work really well
