If you wanted to buy enough decorations to make an average sized 6ft-ish tree look classy because you'd just been in the shed and what you have is pure tat and rubbish

How much would you buy?

What would you buy?

What colours would you go for?

How much d you reckon it'd cost?

Spotty, why not decide on a colour scheme and then buy a few really good decorations and some cheaper ones to match? You can then add more nice ones each year. I've moved on from purple and silver, to all purple and now purple and pink. The more the merrier as far as the amount goes!

Thanks! I'm just a bit clueless and what I have is so tatty !

I had to do this a few years ago for our 7ft tree.

The colour scheme I like is white and silver. Like other posters have said I brought a big set of plain cheap decorations from M&S and a few individual more expensive ones.

Each year I have brought as many individual pieces as I can. Am building up a nice collection now Smile

I've done this over a few years, I wanted a dr seuss lime green and red theme. I bought a load if cheap decorations and then each year I have added a few nice ones, I mostly get them in the sale. I have probably paid about £500 in decorations for my 6.5 ft tree, and that is over 4 years. I think I started my collection in the January sales.

I've got nice hand made wooden decorations and spherical bells which I put on and then I pad it all out with loads of small baubles. I didn't spend loads, only because I can't afford it.

We always have a box or two of extra ornaments in case of breakage. Blush But I don't really have a "theme" unless you count "hodge-podge of purchased, family, and children's art projects" as a theme Grin
