I hate this part too. Just plucked up the courage to sneak in for their sacks, have filled them up downstairs and now so tired but too scared to take them back in. Really wish we had never encouraged them to leave them on beds now but downstairs by the fire instead. Good luck! I'm going to give it another half hour Xmas Smile

if i ever had another child i would do this ALL diffferent.

  1. you always leave a small stocking by the tree.
  1. gifts any larger than would fit in the above, go under the tree!

I'm off to bed praying that they don't get up until at least 8am

you are further ahead than me!! for the last three yrs i have thought, at this very point. WHY don't you buy two of the same sack, so you can exchange empty for pre filled!! but she loves this bloody santa sack and i've not been able to find another, or persuade her to get a new one!!

Oh bloody hell, put the sacks in their room on the floor. Eldest dd,top bunk has been poorly, just as I got into bed she called me for medicine. Younger one woke up, I tried to do Meds in the dark so they wouldn't see all the presents. Spilt the meds. All cleaned up (well, in the dark), got into bed, baby ds wakes up. Settle him, get back into bed, younger dd comes in to ask if its time to bring sacks in. Think I might be in for a looong night Xmas Confused

Oh poor you bedmonster - we got asked to get up at 6.45 - which wasn't too bad - stockings had been ransacked and they wanted to go down and see the presents downstairs. Didn't sleep well and so fecking tired.

inchoccyheaven · 25/12/2012 11:15

I passed the time waiting for them to sleep by giving father Christmas an early present Xmas Grin Xmas Blush but then couldn't sleep as I kept worrying about burglars Xmas Hmm

Got woke up at 7.45pm so not bad and I'm sure 12 yr old is still a believer as he was more excited this year than when he was younger lol.

oh god. she woke at 12 having a nightmare. went back to sleep at 1.30. i got to bed at about 2.

she woke at 5.

she tried to get back to sleep but we were both sort of awake, so i let her get up.

so, yes that's 3 hours sleep here. Yet it's the first time i've ever had a problem with her, so she is forgiven.

can i go to bed now!
