What magical Christmas touches do you do?

I was just talking to my friend who 'wraps' the door into the living room so her son can burst through it like a super-hero to find his presents.
Now I'm wondering what touches other people do so I can steal them be inspired.

Ha ha that's what we plan to do this year too.

Haha that's amazing!! We don't have a door from the staircase inti living room so would be difficult!

I don't do anything extra.
We always do norod track santa and read 'the night before Christmas on Christmas Eve.

FC leaves a note for the DCs by the fireplace - rolled like a scroll with a red ribbon. There is also a liberal sprinkling of glitter magic Santa dust.

We line the garden path with paper bag lanterns lit with battery-operated tea lights to help guide the reindeer.

We have a new Christmas storybook every year but always finish with the Night Before Christmas.
