What exactly is it you are baking?

I don't do anything apart from the Christmas Ham thing on Christmas eve, and that is it til the big lunch.

Great thread - best gingerbread recipes please as mine always com out tasting horrible! Love the idea of mince pie bakewells too

IMasticate can I PM you in the morning I'm about to crash tonight. I warn you though Its a made up recipe so i'll try to give you quantities but I tend to do it by eye. It's very yummy though and went down well at a recent Christmas bake off with the neighbours, so I thought I'd do it again for the less forgiving family as they hate proper Xmas cake.

So far - mince pies, coconut topped buns, fifteens,cinnamon whirl rolls, christmas cake, christmas pud and peppermint cremes.

still to do - millionaires shortbread, mini quiches, sausage rolls, rocky road, brownies, Baileys cheesecake and trifle.

I made
Lebkuchen (a few weeks ago they need maturing time)
about 7 types of (traditional German) biscuits, one batch on every free evening
Panforte
Stollen
Crispbread (Dr Karg type)
Mini Mince Pies (might need to make more, these were for a party)

Now I should add that a large proportion of those are being given away as presents.

Still to do: chocolate fudge (well, maybe!), and our house need a birthday cake for the 24th...

I made florentines for DD's teachers,
about 3/4 dozen mince pies so far,
cake (Nigella choc version),
choc yule log
individual pannetones which didn't actually turn out very well (recipe said bread flour and I think that's too heavy)
