Anyone else behind with their Xmas planning?

Due to illness since last Monday last week I've got behind with Xmas things. Still not 100% but was going to go into town today and do a basic food shop tomorrow, but now my daughter is ill.

Presentwise, need to buy two small gifts for daughter's friends - hubby couldn't find them, which will now need to be delivered. Also, need to buy a few small gifts for my husband. I can't push the large trollies around in Tescos, so get all non perishable items a week or so before - that hasn't been done. It doesn't sound much, but we're seeing my Mum for Xmas on Saturday, have friends with us all day Sunday and wanted to go to the church Xmas Eve, so only have Xmas Eve morning to do all the shopping, get it presents wrapped and delivered - looks like I'll be up early.

Yes, my DD was ill last week, i worked Saturday to make up some of the hours I missed through looking after her. Have worked this week, off today, but DD breaks up at midday. I have one gift each for the kids, gifts for my Mum and no Christmas food. My mother arrives on Saturday so I have to do everything else for christmas with DD(5) in tow.
WIBU to start drinking now?! Grin

Yep, I've been I'll all week, have had to trim some of my plans, have guests arriving tomorrow, hoping dh can tidy up and take away will be used for feeding.

Yep - I got loads of presents online in advance, but then went back to work (I've been off sick) and am exhausted - DH then got a bug and DS has been very poorly too, culminating in a dash to hospital last week. He is better now, but we are massively behind and in a right mess! Oh well.

So glad it's not just me! I booked the whole week off work to get things done and also re-sleep train 13mo DD. Somehow i still have to, make fudge for hampers, make shortbread for hampers (1st lot went wrong), shred tissue paper for hampers, put hampers together, wrap DD's presents, deliver presents, put decorations up, put tree up, food shop and all around looking after/sleep training DD, going out tonight, having friend over tomorrow morning, making meatballs for tomorrow 's dinner when friends are over, being out all day Saturday...erm oh and prep the veg, make stuffing etc etc etc and have a nervous breakdown. I'd really like a bath too! I may have to put DD in nursery for tomorrow or maybe the afternoon to try and get things done! Speaking of whom it looks like she's gone to sleep so i better crack on!

InfiniteFairylights, if you're going to have a drink, have one for me. I must have been ill as I'm still off alcohol. One thing I have got done was to buy five bottles of wine, so if some things don't get done, perhaps Xmas won't be that bad afterall.

Fuzzpig, sorry to hear about your son. Hope he is better for Xmas. Thought we may have a dash to hospital early this morning as my daughter had a stiff neck, headache, fever, aches and felt sick. With the first four symptons meningitis strang to mind, but neck stiffness and headache eased on getting her up.

Lizzywig, your hampers sould great if you can get them done.
