Has anyone flown on xmas day?

We are flying at 6.30 am on christmas day and travelling from nz to london. Arrivng 6.30 boxing day. Has anyone attempted anything similar?

We are a family of four with two dds aged 5 and 8.

Do the airlines do anything special and will anything in the airports be open?

Anyone got any tip on how to make the day still feel like xmas?

It is just another day! We flew London to Perth. We very very fortunate and were upgraded to business class as the flight was overbooked. We didn't have ds then so not sure if they do anything special with the children but our opinion was it is just business as usual.
