Teacher gift guidance please

Ok first time buying teacher present. Teacher & helper are ladies in early/mid fifties. Help me decide whether to give home made chilli jam or handbag liner as seen on mumsnet. Tia

First of all I would say they won't expect anything. That said, if it were me I would go for the home made chilli jam.

I always give a nice bottle-figure they need it by this time of year! This year was bottle of vintage cava ( half price) last year nz sauv. blanc - always something i would be happy to get otherwise it is just a waste of money.
