DH has just remembered that he needs to get a present for his godson and brother. We don't know any boys this age, what sort of thing would they like (and which would be suitable to post)?

light strike guns (like laser guns, and unlike NERF guns, their parents will not be forever having to pick up foam pellets from every crevice of the house)
on the home bargains website they are unbelievably 25% of the price that everywhere else has them for sale.

My DCs, 5 to 11 years (yes DD too and DH and I ) have pitched battles in the dark garden at 5pm before tea..just amazing

But if you're looking for educational and 'improving' gifts then steer well clear Xmas Grin

I was going to suggest Lego - DSS loves it!

Great fun for them and the family to share.

BikeRunSki · 17/12/2012 22:18

Playmobile

Lego is (nearly) always a winner
Hexbug Nano set
Star Wars fighter pods
Game like Guess Who, Pass the Bomb Junior, Charades for Kids, Downfall, Operation

HTH!

Ds is 6 and anything angry birds or Moshi monsters would go down a storm .

Boggler · 17/12/2012 22:49

Lego, Lego and more Lego!

And if you can't get hold of Lego buy a Nerf gun and 100's of foam darts.

In this house

Yep, if you hate the parents, NERF guns Grin
some top trumps cards
Lego
game for their Wii if they have one (check with parents)
for the older one: books full of facts: Guiness book of records, Horrible Science etc
for the younger one - Disney cars stuff
Not pumpaloons or enormous plastic racetrack please!
Swingball set?
Recent DVD - Ice Age 4 or Madagascar

Snowgirl1 · 18/12/2012 08:21

Thanks for all the suggestions everyone - much appreciated! We decided to go with Lego.
