Where do I find long funky socks, to go inside ankle high DM boots, for a 12 year old girl, that are NOT welly socks or thermal??

That's it really, looked everywhere on-line, including high street retailers, going to hit real shops tomorrow, getting worried I won't find any!
girls size 6, bright colours, not ankle socks as DM are too high for that.

Help!!

I'm sure I saw some in Fat Face. Don't Boden do long socks?

Lastyearsmodel · 17/12/2012 12:52

BOden sale. Ordered the smaller size for DD with my freebie voucher a while ago - they are lovely. Hang on, will link.

Knee-high socks

Didn't come up under accessories, had to search for 'socks'.

MirandaWest · 17/12/2012 12:56

I've bought them in supermarkets before I think

BistoBearWithBaublesOn · 17/12/2012 12:58

Primark? I got some there last week :)

MrsHoarder · 17/12/2012 12:59

As in adult shoe size 6? Try TKMaxx (women's accessories) I've got some fab socks from there.

Battlefront · 17/12/2012 13:00

These any good or do you mean bright and patterned.

I always buy mens socks (in very conservative colours Blush because they're cheaper and come up longer than women's without being knee-high iyswim

Think biggest kids' size is 4-5 but they sell them for adults too. DD's look big but can't be sure until Santa's been Xmas Wink.

Get her these, they're wonderful. You feel like a prat to begin with, but it's so nice once you're used to it...

Bluestocking · 17/12/2012 17:08

Have tried Asda, tesco, M&S, sock shop, amazon,

will try Primark, TK Max and Matalan, and Gap (all accessible from here)
Failing that will go to Coutrywide (for riding socks, I now remember they had good ones actually, may go there on the way0
