Bring a toy to school day - what would your 8yo ds bring??

Last time when they brought toys into school at the end of term, DS took a joke book and came back a bit fed up...now we have this coming up again and he's wondering what to bring. We have a ton of lego at home but that can't go to school. So what would your ds aged 8/9 tend to take in? I am trying to help with his street cred here!!

Oooh, so glad we've never had this.

DS would probably dig out something he doens't usually use like racing grannies, or guess who.

I remember a boy taking hexbugs last year (Y3) and people were in awe of him but they are old news now.

We've got a pinball machine - that's good for these kind of occasions.

Will ask DS (9) what he's planning on taking. Might take Top Trumps cards.

They want to take something that their friends will want a go of or they can share. Small novelty things or figures are probably better than board games. In the past couple of years Ds has taken, playing cards or top trumps, halo figures, lego Harry potter figures.

This year he will probably take some deck techs, although he usually takes one of them in his pocket most days :) and he will probably complain all morning that he has no toys and how the school is stupid for not allowing electrical items :o

Thank-you for the good ideas. Was looking at tech decks for Christmas. Are they easy to master? DS is not the best on coordination. Trouble is that DS doesn't have that many toys really. He spends a lot of time on computer games or lego and that's really it!
