After reading the Homemade thread, I fancy making some flavoured vodka.

Can you tell me how to make it? Talk of Airing cupboards, dishwashers and filter paper is confusing me! Grin

Thanks all.

the thread starting - what is dishwasher vodka will help?

based on that thread - I bought a 1ltr bottle of vodka, removed some vodka, about 100ml or so, just below the neck of bottle. Then smashed up one packet of pear drops and added to the bottle. Lid back on and then covered lid with clingflim. but it still leaked at little. DH makes wine so he popped a heat sealed wine cover on the bottle for me. Then popped it in the dishwasher - laying down on the top shelf. Dishwasher on a 40C wash. Once it had cooled down, I topped the bottle back up with the vodka I removed. Then decanted into smaller bottes. Cargo sells 4 250ml bottles for a fiver. hth.

I bought one ltr bottle vodka, pour 1/4 out added smashed up cola cubes then in the other added toffees. Stood in a big pan on hob (no dishwasher) on low heat.
Toffee tastes lovely. Dh made aniseed vodka (boak) and we are going to need to run that through a filter got loads of bits in.

I made chocolate vodka by putting 1l of vodka in a cleaned 2l water bottle and lots of mars bars sat it in a basin of hot water to start melting. Also did sherbet lemon vodka by smashing sherbet lemons and putting them in a kilner jar with the vodka these dissolved without heat in a few days.
