I have already bought my nephew a board game on his Mum's recommendation but need another idea for approx £20. He is the type of kid who is always playing outside with his friends, likes Nerf guns etc. Any ideas please!

I saw a Nerf target practice a while ago in a Toys R Us leaflet.

Gives them something to do with the Nerfs if there's no one to play with.

They have some on Amazon as well - I searched Nerf target.

There is a jacket as well to hold the pellets.

TBH if they are outside running round they probably don't want anything. It'll be when they are forced to stay in because it's too early or late or they are ill they will want something fun. Something they can video themselves on to make films etc usually work well.

Mine is getting Lego (Minecraft),some Moshi stuff, some personalised items as he has an uncommon name and Skylanders. His friends are getting Lego, board games, new books, and various musical items (Ipod shuffles and the like).

Stomp rocket? Mine love them! Got boys, all sporty outdoor types.

They do minecraft lego? Shhh...don't tell my ds....

I know! I didn't want to buy an X box just for Minecraft but found the Lego on the Lego site. Said it was out of stock but arrived 2 days later! Tiny box and looks very dull (lots of green and brown blocks essentially but hey ho..).

Got a personalised water bottle with a creeper on from Amazon too.

priscilla101 · 15/12/2012 21:21

Minecraft on x box? Omg...who knew? My ds plays it on the iPad, which can be very annoying when I want to MN....

priscilla101 · 15/12/2012 23:14

Ps sorry to hijack! My ds (7) would love anything science-y if that helps?

Buyagift had paintball ing for a group for about £20. Can't remember how old you had to be though

Does he have a scooter or a BMX? My DS is having one of these ramps from my DSis. Will probably get used for all sorts, toy cars, etc

VodIsGod · 15/12/2012 23:35

Just realised that particular one is now unavailable but Amazon have similar one for around £20...

chocolatespiders · 15/12/2012 23:45

nerf target is £11.00 in Argos if you have any in stock near you

My ds has asked for Alex Ryder books. There is a James bond remote Aston Martin on amazon for £12

Oh dear, I am another one that does NOT want to know at this late stage that there is Minecraft Lego!

How about a new football is that's his thing?

My 8 yr old DS is getting a watch, some Lego Ninjago stuff, Triominoes set, Addictaball and a few other small things. (He was given an Xbox for his birthday in Oct so only small presents for Xmas - ah, better get him a game for the Xbox, I suppose!)
