Any ideas or inspiration for an 8 year old girl please?

I'd love to buy her something she will love, but I have no idea what 8 year old girls are in to?

I got this make your own lip balm kit for my 9 yo niece- looks pretty good from the box anyway. They seem to love all sorts of crafty things, either that or games for the DS.

My 7 yr old loves hello kitty, writing sets, art stuff, build a bear stuff.

Chocolate, cool socks, board games, purse with money in.

All good ideas so far - my 8 year old DD loves crafty stuff but some of it is a bit crap and might stay on a shelf until the next school request for tombola prizes ...

It might not be suitable but my DD loves clothes!
Also, getting one of these for DD (hope that works!)

Anything leopardskin according to my dd. I've got her some leopardskin ear muffs from m&s, which I think she will love.

Lip balms are great - they collect them. As are pencil cases, interesting rubbers, special gel pens etc.

And simple jewellery - a chain with an animal pendant etc. Or anything with her name on.

Games also great.

My dd would like giftcards or vouchers because she loves to shop. Given those and the promise of a shopping trip with a hot chocolate and cake stop would be her idea of heaven tbh.

Lovely ideas here thank you everyone :-) I think I'm going to take a trip to town and have a look around with these ideas in my head! I like the idea of getting crafty stuff for her.
