put this in lone parents but thought here may get more traffic-
i feel very teenagery writting this but for the first time since splitting up with dh i seem to have found someone that i really like (see teenagery).
he has indicated that he is buying a xmas gift for me which i said not too. so i need to buy something but what? nothing too personal/inpersonal , too cheap/expensive. what do i do?

Does he have any particular interests or hobbies?

Travelling - notonthehighstreet.com have a world map that you scratch off the countries you've been to
Wine - a really good bottle of wine from your local wine shop OR if beer then could get a selection of 4 christmas type ales
Foodie - cheese & crackers hamper
Rugby - a couple of tickets for a rugby match (football tickets are quite expensive)
Music - a CD, obviously depends what he's into
DVD Box-Set or a new release movie
Olympics 2012 DVD (on amazon)
Golf - DVD - 2012 Ryder Cup

OR, if you want something a little more generic could go for aftershave / chocolates / cinema tickets / vouchers for a local pub / restaurant. Hope that helps! And hope you like your pressie Xmas Smile

That's a great idea - nice gift but nothing too "intense" for an initial present. Sipsmith or Hendricks are nice £20 - £30 a bottle.
