Over breakfast this morning we were discussing how many windows were left in ds's advent calendars and ds2 (4.7) asked why there were that many.
I explained that 25th December was the day that Jesus was born, and that we celebrate His birthday every year and that we call it Christmas Day. I went on to say that his advent calendar is a countdown to that day.
He asked about God and presents, so I did my best to explain that (from my atheist perspective but they seem to do a fair bit of Religious Education at school) and after all my best ramblings ds came up with..........
........"so all this Christmas stuff is just for one magic baby?!"
To which I ended up replying, "well yes, in a nutshell!"
