Ugh. She was going to have gig tickets and they have sold out. So now I need a 'big' present for a 17 year old for 30/40 pounds-ish. Any ideas please?

She likes Topshop and Urban Outfitters but I don't want to buy her clothes and will take her shopping in the sales in addition to her Christmas presents. She likes Benefit and Mac but it doesn't look like much.

Have already got her the obvious stuff like hairspray, PJs, books etc.

Help please!

what gig was it? Is there nobody else she would like to see?

northernmonkey · 13/12/2012 18:25

What gig was it? I'm sure there is a website where you can still buy tickets for face value. You might even be able to get somewhere else online

northernmonkey · 13/12/2012 18:28

scarlet mist

It was one specific gig and tickets all gone - we've already got her and her sister tickets for another one. Am a Luddite and don't trust t'internet for buying them.

Nope - it needs to be something else!

A watch
a shambala bracelet

We3NipplesOfVoldiesWeAre · 13/12/2012 19:44

What about a ticketmaster gift voucher for another gig in the future.

I've bought DD a swatch watch for 38.00
Perfume
Gift box full of makeup and toiletries.
A bag

chickydoo · 13/12/2012 20:00

30-40 would buy a lovely piece of jewellery or some nice perfume.
Headphones seem to be very popular
A new bag
A purse for around £20 with a £10 inside & an iTunes voucher for £10
Is she sporty? yoga mat? Exercise kit.
A picture/canvas for her room.
A bean bag for her room.
Some books?
Ticket master voucher for future gig?

I agree with a bag and a purse...maybe from River Island.

Leather jacket

Kirstoll · 14/12/2012 05:58

I would get her the soap and glory set from boots. LOADS of stuff in (£60 reduced to £27) inc. make up. Went on sale today mind, so they sell out fast!

BlueChampagne · 14/12/2012 14:17

Decent handbag?

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 19/12/2012 13:47

Thank you. Bought her a nice bag for passing her exams, so she doesn't need one really. Might have a quick look tomorrow though, as she does like bags!

She'd love a leather jacket but her main surprise presents is a new coat - and I only want to spend another £30 or so.

Sorry for v late reply - t'internet was broken.
