Star? Angel? Something else? What has pride of place on your tree? Pic on profile of our little fella.

Usually the cat.

steppemum · 11/12/2012 21:14

star
used to be a 'discussion' every year. Then ds slyly hand made a star, so we had a proper tree top ornament and now brooks no arguments. i think dd1 is plotting a beautiful hand made angel for next year to compete...

Kahlua4me · 11/12/2012 21:15

A ridiculous soft doll/fairy/angel thing in blue! My dh chose it and loves it. Doesn't go with other decorations or the room but hey ho he is happy!

hazeyjane · 11/12/2012 21:16

Fairy (made out of one of dd1's dolls, and called Buttons)

Pancakeflipper · 11/12/2012 21:16

An angel in like a hessian sack material. Poor thing - she wanted white silky glamour. With tinsel and lights up her bottom.

nipersvest · 11/12/2012 21:16

gold star

MirandaWest · 11/12/2012 21:17

A star

judefawley · 11/12/2012 21:19

Nothing.

I have never found anything I liked, so it's just a twig.

Is that odd?

MrsHoarder · 11/12/2012 21:22

The lights run up to the top. No ornament there as yet, thinking I might get/make one for the Christmas hamper

SamsGoldilocks · 11/12/2012 21:39

Sugar plum fairy - small and round and squishy.

2kidsintow · 11/12/2012 22:56

A gold bow.

3ForMe · 11/12/2012 22:59

A big, purple Rudolph with wings, gloved paws and a sequin covered heart.

Sounds ridiculous-but lovely really

recall · 11/12/2012 23:00

a christmas troll

Stuffingballs · 11/12/2012 23:00

A wonky star.

Haberdashery · 11/12/2012 23:00

A penguin.

IShallCallYouSquishy · 11/12/2012 23:01

A Winnie the Pooh stuffed animal dressed as an angel. Cute? Yes. Tacky? Yes. Bit blasphemous? Probably! But I love him Smile

(Outs self completely as I've had him for years and he takes pride of place)

SouthernComforts · 11/12/2012 23:02

A star that flashes all different colours. It's truly hideous. I bought it to wind dp up because he kept putting off going tree shopping until I had to do it all on the bloody bus.

AndiMac · 11/12/2012 23:05

A crown from Windsor Castle!

Ok, it was bought in the shop at Windsor Castle and made of plastic, but it still is rather posh-looking.

VioletStar · 11/12/2012 23:07

Dr Evil doll (with home made wings). My DSis/BIL have Yoda (with wings natch)

farrowandballs · 11/12/2012 23:10

Jack Frost made last year by DS from a teasel, pipe cleaners and foil

CantStopEatingCheese · 11/12/2012 23:23

A paper angel made by DD1 last year (age 4). It's very roughly coloured in (mostly white paper) and looks a bit squashed after being in a box for a year but it's lovely (proud mum).
Before that we had the flying polar bear. It's basically a small bauble shaped like a white sparkly polar bear in the middle of a leap. I used to hang it right at the top because I didn't have a specific tree top decoration.

TheWombat · 11/12/2012 23:26

An owl. Tree decoration, that is, not a real one. It's made out of balsa wood and jutey-type fabric I think.

So, not that Christmassy then Hmm

HeffalumpsAndWoozles · 11/12/2012 23:57

A toilet roll angel made by DD1 & me this year, we are very proud of her in all her wonky eyed glory Xmas Smile Pic on profile.

sauvb · 12/12/2012 00:07

This year, in loving memory of my bestest ever aunty who died 2 months ago, a butterfly decoration, one of which I bought for myself, mum and sis. By the side of it, a gorgeous red bauble, with a gingham star on it, for our little prawn who didn't make it after 12 weeks back in may, and by the side of that, a train for my best friend's dad, who died last month. It's been one of those years I'll be glad to see behind me! - All over the rest of it however, all manner of gaudy home made / school / nursery made decorations from DS and DD!!
