Finally happy with my tree. Ribbon so much better than tinsel

I'd done away with the tinsel as I didn't like it, despite using it for years.
The 'just baubles' look didn't look quite right. A bit bare.
Have invested in some ribbon from asda in red and gold, to match the theme that my DD2 (8) has decided is the law this year - and it looks lovely.

A bauble with a ribbon bow (matching colour on my tree) looks lovely.

Bit like those Monty Don earrings with the crystal drop and stub and a ribbon at the 'join'
