We must be odd. I like to keep it in stores until the weekend before Xmas and then we eat it up until it's gone. Am stashing stocks at the moment. Have two tins of chocs and some Ferrero Rocher, Xmas Pud, tin of lovely biscuits, champagne delivered and under the stairs with some nice sherry and port. Have also stashed the paper napkins and table runner, the crackers and some other bits. And all the Xmas shopping is done. Have to do the blasted Xmas cards esp as they are coming in two or three a day now. We did have some Heston Pine sugar scented mince pies and they were yuckity yuck.
But once we start: roast ham, smoked salmon, pate, turkey and all the trimmings, mince pies, Xmas pud, cold meats, pickles, roasties, special trifle, mum's turkey and ham pie with mushrooms and brandy - a joint of really good beef or some fab steak at some point with my red wine, mushroom, garlic and creme fraiche sauce, and gratin dauphinoise.
Then we start on the soups, and the salmony pasta, the good bread and left over cheese. That takes us until about 2nd January.
Oh yes, we also have birthday cake on Xmas day here which adds another dimension entirely. DS is 18 this year - woo hoo.
