DH and I plan to take the DC to London for the day maybe the 15th or 16th ; or the weekend after (22nd/23rd)

We usually go to Hamleys (but I could give that a miss because it is heaving and they don't buy anything there )

We plan to try the cablecar across the river
Go to Winter WonderLand
Lunch at Garfunkles
Then somewhere for coffee/hot chocolate later (Any ideas)

I'd love to go to Liberty's and have a look at the lights.

Anything else?
We've got Oystercards and live about 30-40 minutes from London.

Check if the Christmas Market is still on (South Bank, my older 2 both had school trips there last week and loved it).

South Bank is my favourite starting point for days out - if the market's still on then there is lots of food, or you could eat somewhere along the riverside (loads of choice) which might be a nice change from Garfunkels?

Spitalfields market or Columbia Rd, both very nice at Christmas but packed so be warned.

Ice skating at Somerset House/Nat History museum?

A river boat trip - easily combined with South Bank market, and/or Borough market (thurs/fri/sat only), lovely at this time of year.

See what theatre/IMAX cinema is on that they may like in the evening?

I would give Hamleys a miss and send them to the Apple store in Regent St. while you go to Liberty.

The South Bank will be good.

Science museum, natural history museum. London aquarium all good.
Winter wonderland is fab but wear Waterproof shoes if its been raining.

Have fun xx

Why Garfunkels for lunch? There are loads of much more interesting options!

I agree, Borough market and the Christmas market on the South Bank will be good, as will all the stuff on the South Bank. Apple store in Covent Garden and ice skating are also good!
