I like the pots of gold! (Ferraro rocher, gold coins, maybe a pounD scratch card/ normal pound coin / little stars and tisse paper etc) depends on how many settings much you want to spend and how many places you need to set as to how big / small you make them

I made pots of gold last year and they went down really well. There were 14 of us and out of 14 £1 scratch cards we won £21!

You can get some ideas here:

As I was making so many I needed them to be cheap, so I used white ramekins from Poundland (£1 for 3) and wrote people's name on them with a gold writing pen. It wasn't a proper ceramic one so it came off in the wash. I put in ferrero rocher, chocolate coins, werthers, eclairs (Asda's own I think were in gold wrappers), and Gold choc bars, with a £1 scratchcard. I wanted it to be the gold xmas ones they do but they were £5 ones last xmas so not possible. I then wrapped them in cello wrap and tied some nice ribbon round, with a tag with the pots of gold poem - you'll find variations of it on that thread. DH's family really liked them but I need to do something this year and haven't thought what yet. I might make gingerbread men with people's names iced on.

Thanks, I have some nice gold cloth so think will use that instead of pots and miss out the scratch card!

Have you seen the sleighs that people have made? Again no link as am a mumsnet novice! They are probably more aimed
At children as are made up of candycane sleigh sides, chocolate Bars and marshmallows and tied up with ribbon :)
