Last year we went to the Museum of London Docklands one which was quite nice but it's a bit out of the way and I thought we'd try out a different one this year. Any recommendations? Is the 'Hyde Park Winter Wonderland' one good?

Whiteleys is very good, easy parking at the car park, not too crowded and proceeds go to charity. Kids get a book, which I think its brilliant for £3.

Depends how old your DCs are. Mine are 5 and 2 and we took them yesterday to the free Grotto at Duke of Yorks Square in Chelsea - you book online and get a 20 minute session with FC. Very sweet, low key, but no bum fight! Went in with a few other families, had a story from FC and a little bag of sweets. Was perfect for our DCs as they are little, and we went at about 5 so all the Christmas lights were on etc, and it was great, especially as it's free!

OK, thanks. My DCs are 3 and 1, so this is really for the 3 y.o. Will check out your recommendations.
