I don't want stickers.

Kids will not put up with golfing tees. Or metal 'puzzle' rings. Or Tape Measures. as per 'dinner party' crackers.

I will NOT spend pounds on crackers with the tut like fortune Fish type of gift (though I do quite like Fortune fish, but not the ilk ifyswim).

I won't spend 20 quid either. Haa!

Have you found something brillianrt cracker-wise to share?

Get a make your own kit ?

Easy enough to get bits to put in them, and make your own jokes ?

If you have any kitchen or loo roll thingys, and some wrapping paper, you could even dispense with the MYO kit, too.

Won't have to spend £20 then !

MrsChristmasVamos · 02/12/2012 00:20

I got that from your title, just assumed you are pished. Xmas Wink

AgnesBligg · 02/12/2012 00:25

Ohh Mrs Christmaas loving your quick answer.

Yes maybe to the loo roll thingy, and jokes we can probably do.

Isn't everybody bothered about crackers being so unsurprising? Plastic thingy with cut out aeroplane stencil?

Nah. I used to worry and then last year had a mad dash as I forgot to get any. Bog standard supermarket ones, double the amount of the 'posher'/'naicer' box and everyone loved them. [fanrgy]

They're irrelevant really, as long as everyone has one and a hat to put on, doesn't matter where they come from, or what they look like.

Oh yes, I used to colour-match mine too. Xmas Blush Xmas Grin

MrsChristmasVamos · 02/12/2012 00:32

Cracker envy is a myth.

Tru fact. Ignore people who have fancy ones. They are stupid for spending so much money on posher tat. They're all rubbish, at the end of the day, unless you buy really posh ones, where you get an ipad in each one. All the cracker, apart from the toys, goes straight in the bin....until a week after christmas when you wonder WHY are you still moving crappy cracker toys around the house, and throw them away too.

Xmas Grin
AgnesBligg · 02/12/2012 00:33

mrsCchristmas. Whaat did you colour maatch yours with back in the day?

Any way you are saying it don't matter much buy the over price feckers so long as we all got hats, right? Xmas Grin

I colour matched them with whatever colour my table decs were that year.

Yep, that's pretty much it. And everyone HAS to wear a hat at the table.

You could in fact say sod the crackers and just get everyone a beanie instead, or make christmassy paper hats with jokes on. Xmas Grin
