Anyone know how to stop an outdoor Christmas tree blowing over?

It's a plastic one with a stand, and needs to go on a concrete driveway.

can you get a bucket large enough to accommodate the stand, fill with heavy stones?

or tether with guy lines (thick string) to the property

I think guy ropes/lines too, like you would use on a tent, if you have somewhere to tether them. I would say you need 3 or 4, evenly spaced.

Thank you all very much. I don't think the guy ropes will work, as not sure where we could tether them, but I will have a think. A bucket of stones, or breeze blocks, is probably the answer.

I must admit I was hoping someone would say "oh you buy a thing from B+Q for a fiver and it does it for you" :o
