9 year old boy; what to get?

I think he would like money/voucher, but it seems sad not to have a parcel to open; so could either do a fiver with a voucher or about twenty five quid budget. He likes football mainly. Seems I can't afford a footie shirt. I would love a cool toy that he could play with on Christmas day, but maybe this doesn't exist for a nine year old.

You can get subbuteo on amazon at the moment for £25!

A cheap football with a voucher

Or a decent football with goalie gloves, shin pads etc.

Sports direct are great for football accessories.

How about an Air Power Soccer Disk for when the weather's too bad to play outside? They get pretty good reviews on Amazon (£9.99) - thinking of getting one for my son.

My boys got a mini table football table a couple of years ago & that was a big hit, though it did require assembling.

On the football theme, there's a Brain Box football game, & if he likes reading about as well as playing it something like Match annual might go down well as a smaller present.

we're getting spy equipment for the 9yr old in our family. There's individual stuff available - like trip wires; glasses where you can see behind you etc plus spy sets with a few bits in.

he's also after a butterfly farm - like this

Sports Direct voucher together with their enormous catalogue.

My 9 yo DS has been poring over it all day Xmas Grin

I also have all the football annuals and football record book for him. One of the most used things are two small foam balls that he can kick around indoors. Full size footballs are no good in the house when the weather is rubbish.....

Lego?
