Oh me too...hopefully if MIL comes over tomorrow me and DH will go out to do the big Xmas food shop and then on Sunday we'll be putting up the tree and decorations. Cant wait!

glentherednosedbattleostrich · 30/11/2012 18:03

I can't wait. Elf is ready, he is hiding in the downstairs cupboard with his letter and walking stick (candy cane). I'm doing the advent calendar tonight, chocolate coins and a christmas fun thing each day.

Tomorrow I am off for my December haircut, then into town to choose DD's christmas ornament for the tree and on Sunday clean the house and put up the christmas decorations and tree.

DD is very excited about Santa bringing her a blue camera and ten presents and a mince pie (she's not quite got that she leaves them out for Santa and the reindeer!)

Yes. I can't wait for Xmas. Am looking forward to getting a tree too but we're getting it later than usual this year due to having family visiting at the weekends. Dh thinks I'm mad for being excited

fuzzpig · 30/11/2012 18:42

I'm excited.

Kicking myself that we didn't get all the shopping done - we did most of it long in advance and then kind of stopped for various reasons... I nipped into town today and it was stressful! :(

Xmas doesn't really begin in our house until nearer the time though, they are doing related stuff at school and they'll get their advent calendars, but that's it for now. I prefer it being a bit more intense over a shorter period, than spread out too much.

Plus, it's my birthday in a week, and then 8 days later it'll be 10 years since our first date :o

I am very excited that my parents are bringing up the tree tomorrow - they bought it for my 2nd Xmas in 1987 and I'm checking if it's still decent enough to use, and going through the rest of the decorations too.

Yes, stupidly excited. I feel Christmassier this year than ever before. Can't wait to get the advent calendars out and fill them with chocs and treats; get the lights through the house and the wreath on the door.
Got a carol service tomorrow and first Christmas drinks party of the year on Sunday. Can't wait.

LadyMargolotta · 30/11/2012 19:06

Yes! I have the advent calenders ready.

iloveholidays · 30/11/2012 19:16

I'm sat on my lounge floor with all of Elf's presents to wrap :) couple of Christmas DVDs, Xmas books and a few colouring books.

Just watched elf on the shelf DVD and feeling like a big kid :)

DP off next week so off to Winchester Xmas market on Wednesday and putting tree and decs up on Friday. Might go to the garden centre on Sunday to buy a new decoration.

Advent calendar ready, just getting elf stuff ready now... Can't wait to see DDs faces in the morning :)
