Can anybody recommend any? She is 4 and only little but she is desperate that this is what Santa is going to bring!! Think she'll need the quad style to help here stay upright!

By the ones that go on over her own shoes. They are adjustable in length and have safety mechanisms on the wheels for learners.

They do various designs if she isn't into hello kitty.

Thanks!! Soooo much cheaper than the boot style ones I had been looking at and Hello Kitty too. Sure she'll love them :)

Are you set on quads? I don't know much about them, but I have taught inline skating and know a bit about the makes.

If money is no object then the K2 range is really good, they do adjustable skates for children, with I think the smallest size adjustable from 8-11, and most of the adults I'm aware of who like skating have them for their kids. But they are expensive.

If you're by a Decathalon I've heard good things about their own brand stuff, and they have similar adjustable ones.

The sort of stereotypical children's skates ? the big plastic wheel ones ? are really quite hard to skate on. Some people find that it puts their kids off immediately, while other people say they don't seem to notice until they get bigger and get the more adult skates, and realise how much easier better wheels are!

Clearly took too long to reply! There were no replies when I started my message...

Hope she has fun with them, I think it's great that skating seems to be becoming popular again, and at 4 I can see the appeal of Hello Kitty!

Thanks Merrow No not too late as I haven't ordered them. I don't want to spend too much on them as they may end up in the back of a cupboard. However, we do apparently have a rollerskate place near here. I'd looked on Decathlon website but couldnt see small ones but I do live 10 mins from a Decathlon so might go and look and then make a decision.
