Where's wally book set with a wally bag (bargain on book people)
A playmobil Unicorn (The only thing she has picked up whilst in a shop and asked for)
A handknitted Tig (from Wolly and Tig her fav prog still)
The full collection of Peter Rabbit books (bought before she was born and been sat waiting)
The Lorax DVD
An inflatable globe (£1.99!)
A Rodger McGough poetry book (bad bad cats)
A diecast Ambulance (fascinated by ambulances at the moment)
Hama beads (half price in The Entertainer)
Orchard Toys Tummy Ache game
Olivia doll

To share with her sister (from Father Christmas):

Playmobil plane (half price in Sainsburys toy sale)
A wooden Little Tikes kitchen
A silly game that involves wearing a headband and picking things up
Dressing up box (mainly filled with costumes I bought cheap after Halloween)

Her stocking will have the obligatory chocolate, satsuma, toothbrush, magic flannel, character socks and the Olivia Rainbow doll (mascot for the Rainbow pack she belongs to)

That looks a lot but no one else buys for them and they only get presents on their birthdays and at Christmas.

Oh and the [[http://www.thebookpeople.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/qs_product_tbp?storeId=10001&catalogId=10051&langId=100&productId=197700 noisy Peter Pan book] which is beautiful and I would recommend for any childs book collection.

OohMrDarcy - What tablet did you get? I bought dd1 an innotab for her birthday and now wish I had never bothered. She ignores it and prefers to go on the laptop so I am thinking of selling it and replacing with a budget tablet - which is what I should have got in the first place.

OohMrDarcy · 30/11/2012 22:15

this

I got it when it got price dropped to around £65

going to fully lock it down with parental controls etc and put some bits and bobs on ready for her

ISeeThreadPeople · 30/11/2012 22:19

Oh lucky girls you all have.

I've bought dd some walkie talkies, a keyring and some books.

fuzzpig · 01/12/2012 07:50

As her Xmas eve jammies from the elves, she's getting a rapunzel nightie from Disney store, the skirt bit is sort of like a tutu.

fuckwittery - Ogo Bild Pod Construction Set looks great for making dens. Have you heard good reviews about it

Thanks OohMrDarcy, that's exactly what I was thinking of. Will keep an eye on the price and hope it drops again.

emalushka · 01/12/2012 20:56

My 5 year old dd is getting:

Hair slides, bobbles and hello kitty hairbrush.
Face cloth
Chocolate orange
Chocolate coins
Felt tips and colouring book
Lego
Mister men books - about 20 that she needs to complete her set.
A barbie doll
A worst witch book.
Farm Jigsaw
Shrinkies/sprinkles set - those key ring things that you put in the oven.
Jelli baff

I'm a bit worried that she has too much though- she has twice as many presents as my 2 year old. I may leave out the Lego. Plus relatives always buy her lots of stuff too.

Dancergirl · 03/12/2012 14:08

Right I'm sorted! Smile

I bid for an Isla bike on Ebay this weekend but the price went right up to over 165 pounds and a new one is 200.

So today I phoned Isla bikes and have ordered her a pink one! Feel a bit guilty about the money with her other presents but hopefully she will get a lot of use out of it and I can always sell it on Ebay when she outgrows it.

I'm hoping it also might inspire her can't ride, won't ride 9 year old sister!
