Looking for inspriration here, can anyone give me any ideas for our daughter's Christmas present. She has produced short list which has been passed to family and friends, so all that is covered. She just doesn't seem to want anything else (still has money and vouchers left from her birthday in August). She has all the clothes and makeup she needs, isn't really girly. Only things she loves are books and they are on her list.

Magazine subscription
Theatre tickets
CDs
DVDs
A new craft idea - knitting/crochet/candle making

Will keep thinking...

Does she write as well as read? This went down well with my son at the same age.
Or this for drawing?

DD is getting a huge hula hoop and possibly a riding lesson. Everything else seems to have been coopted by grandparents.

Does she have a pet? Is it in need of a new collar/food bowl/playhouse/portrait?

Flat things are my latest preferred style of gift, as the house is full. So, rug, quilt, pictures, giant crossword?

ATailofTwo Kitties, both books look good and just up her street, thanks. ElfontheShelf, thanks for your ideas, will have a word with her to see if she comes up with anything. The only two CDS I suspect she will want are the two already on my list (we like the same music lol!). Any other ideas still appreciated, but your ideas will give me something to work with.

I am in same situation ... also 11 yo dd.

She's not even a big reader. I wish I could think of something inspired to be her main "wow" factor present, but I'm at a loss...

will watch this thread with interest
