Retro drinks: is anywhere selling Snowballs?

I'm already getting a Yuletide urge for retro drinks: I looked last year but failed to find Snowballs - anyone know if anywhere is stocking them this year?

I've already got the ingredients for martini and lemonade.

Does Babycham still exist?

A snowball is advocaat and lemonade.

onthemetro · 28/11/2012 19:19

I bought loads of them in Tesco last year, they were my staple drink over Xmas Grin I love them. I'd assume that they still do them this year, ill be off to stock up soon Blush

StellaNova · 28/11/2012 19:21

I didn't know they came ready mixed, I thought you made them at home. I remember the heady delights of being allowed a Snowball aged about 12 at my uncle's on Christmas day.

meditrina · 28/11/2012 19:21

It just doesn't taste the same when you have to mix them yourself: it's got to be the pre-prepared little bottles.

I LOVE snowballs!! Me & my sister have them every year- we had them in our younger years! We make our with lemonade, vodka & advocaat. My mum used to put lime cordial in! I've found in the past sainsburys so a cheap version of advocaat for £4 something. They still do babycham too!

MrsHelsBels74 · 28/11/2012 19:27

I was at a party at the weekend & someone brought alone snowballs and babycham. Sadly I don't know where she got them, but they do exist!

This is reninding me of youthful vomitting sessions after one too many snowballs.

UsedToBeAContender · 28/11/2012 19:59

I have never had ready mixed ones but I drink snowballs every Christmas! Advocaat, touch of lime cordial and lemonade!

From 1st December it's officially snowball season!

hoolahoolagirl · 28/11/2012 20:15

Iceland are selling snowball's and babycham's Wink

TheFutureMrsB · 28/11/2012 20:20

Home Bargains had them in the other day were quite cheap too, and they had the Cherry B's. Smile

meditrina · 28/11/2012 20:22

Was Cherry B actually a different drink, or was it just marketed cherry brandy?

sorry meditrina. My delivery comes from the Skegness store, so perhaps skeggy have them in stock but your local store's run out Sad.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 28/11/2012 22:29

meditrina - cherry brandy is the liquer IIRC (cherry brandy, apricot brandy, blue bols, curaco type)
Cherry B was little bottles (same size as Babycham/Snowball)

Remember the advert where the woman was hacked off with her bloke (can't remember why, he was off playing pool with his mates or something)
Then a stranger buys her Cherry B
And someone treats you like a lady and buys you Cherry B.

Okaaay

Cherry B + cider was a "Goodnight Kiss" Wink

Saw snowballs in asda today, £2.30 for a pack with 4 small bottles

mamababa · 30/11/2012 20:19

Buy the advocaat! Warninks the big brand was on offer at one major supermarket (Tesco?) just add a dash of lime cordial and lemonade (whisk with fork!)

Bye ladies off to Tesco....... Grin

amazonianwoman · 30/11/2012 20:33

Advocaat was on special in Sainsburys for £10 today.

But Aldi do a perfectly acceptable version for only around £5.99 Grin

50shadesofknackered · 30/11/2012 21:05

Ooo I love love love advocaat and lemonade, think I might buy some tomorrow. It is December 1st Grin

gemz86 · 01/12/2012 18:59

Morrisons had them in today in packs of 4. They also had the cherry B. Both are on two for £5 as well

bigTillyMincePie · 01/12/2012 19:02

RealAleandOpenFires · 01/12/2012 20:17
