skittles voddy - have i messed up?

bought 1.5l of vodka (naice voddy from waitrose) and 2 big bags of skittles. I have popped the skittles into the vodka. I have just read on a web site that you should remove the purple and green ones as it tates and looks better without. Mine looks ok so far. Have I just messed up £25 worth of ingredients?

Um possibly! The green skittles tend to make the mixture a lovely shade of brown! Has the colour dissolved yet - is it too late to remove them? I left the purple ones in mine, was fine and came out a lovely red colour.

If it looks like the colour of dysentery mud, invest in some black food colouring, whack that in and get people to guess what sweet its made of!

yep does look a bit shitty!!!! thinking that possibly I may keep this one for me and start again, was going to buy some vodka for xmas anyway (wasn't going to buy 1.5l but hey I'll manage!!)

So take out the green and use all the others?

will get some more vodka tomorrow and start again...and this time I'll eat the green ones!

Doh! Can eat the green ones or I made a separate smaller vodka with just them, it comes out a bit bitter-but-sweetish-lime so could still be a nice drink : )
