Reading all your traditions I am going to start doing a hamper for DS (6) and would like to include a DVD of a classic xmas film, what would you go for?

Polar Express but this year it will be Arthur Christmas. Miracle on 34th Street also.

There's another thread on this somewhere.

Consensus was The Snowman.

Muppet Christmas Carol. It's the law.

Home Alone 1 & 2. Just watched them with DS (4.8) for the first time (his not ours) & he was rolling around the floor laughing.
He finds The Snowman a bit boring and the Muppets terrify him Confused

A Christmas Story Very funny, possibly for when he is 8 or 9 or moe. This is a classic for anyone with older kids beyond The Snowman and Polar express.

I have Arthur Christmas for this year with dsd but always watch holiday inn (black and white) on xmas eve night.
I always did it with my nanny, she still comes over and we watch it together.

Its my favourite night of the year :-)
