We don't have a starter as we go straight to the main event which consists of:

Roast Turkey
Roast Ham
Roasties
Roast parsnips
Pork, sage and squash stuffing
Chestnut stuffing
Sausages wrapped in bacon
Mashed potato
Carrots
Carrot and swede mash
Purple sprouting brocolli
Red cabbage with apple
Peas with pancetta
Massive jug of gravy

Yum! Can't wait.

Supper usually consists of slices of cold turkey and ham, pickles, pate, cheeses, bread in front of the tv.

Come and tell me what you usually or are planning on cooking.

Lamb shanks slow cooked in red wine with rosemary, dauphinoise potatoes, roast potatoes, undecided veg!

Ginger sponge pudding and nutmeg custard

A ton of Lindor hopefully!

Never do starters, so just launch straight into...

Roast rib of beef
Delia ham
Roasties
Yorkies
pancetta sprouts
parmesan parsnips
spiced red cabbage
cauli cheese
stuffing balls
sausages wrapped in bacon
probably some carrots?

Am making a chocolate roulade for pud, DP cooks the main. Am hoping he can get a lot of the prep the day before, although I will do the ham. And I will possible make the roulade in advance if I can find a recipe that says I can.

Im really looking forward to my Xmas dinner this year, was breastfeeding tiny DS and was at my Mums for the day so I drove while DP had enough drinks for the 2 of us. And many many more Grin. This year, I am not bfing and we are staying at home so bring on the booze!

Mmm both of your meals sound delicious. Queef Yours sounds really appealing, particularly as it will no doubt enable you to have free time to enjoy the day once your meal is in the oven.

Don't want to waste the day cooking when I could be drinking to block the boredom spending quality time with my loved ones GrannyRat !

no starters - we have selection boxes for breakfast. there might be some little pastry cheese stars and smoked salmon blinis for canapes if I can be bothered.

Rib of Beef, roasties, Yorkshires, sausage meat stuffing balls, carrots, brocolli, parnsips

Pudding is undecided - we are at deadlock with 2 votes for Christmas pudding, and two for chocolate or sticky toffee pudding. will toss a coin.

Christmas cake and cheeses for after the washing up.

Two starters this year... choice of caramelised red onion and goats cheese tart served with rocket or tea infused salmon with a lemon and herb mayo, served with spiced leeks.

Main is turkey and a million trimmings

Pudding is christmas pudding or diabetic baked apple sponge for those who can't.
