Which game for a ten year old? Carcassonne? Labrynth? Ticket to ride?

I haven't played any of these games and don't want anything too difficult as our 6 year old may want to join in.

He loves Monopoly and Cluedo.

Thanks

Carcassonne - it's fun for adults, but simple to play - a friend's daughter started joining in when she was 5.

Yes to all of the above, for a reasonably bright 10 year old. Your six year old may need some help but the above links to a game website with lots of info on :)

For younger children, I believe Catan do junior versions.

Happy gaming!

Thank you! Yes he is a bright boy, he loves chess too. Will check out the website.

I don't want anything for our six year old in particular as she's never been interested in any type of board game, but she may decide to play one of these days!

We try to get her to join in and have a huge book shelf full of games but she just wants to play schools or with her baby.

Anyway, will have another search round.

We play both Carcassonne and Labyrinth with our just 7 and 9 year old DS and DD and they love it (and regularly beat me!)
Off to check out website for more ideas.
Have you got Bananagrams - that's on our games Christmas list :)

If your DS likes chess he would probably enjoy Khet - Khet. My 10 year old DS enjoys the ones mentioned above plus Pandemic (co-operative so no arguments!), Shootin' Ladders and Formula D. Kids of Carcassone is nice and quick if your 6 year old did want to feel included.

if he likes Monopoly then look out for a card game Monopoly Deal. It's based on the game but a bit quicker and good fun also portable for journeys.
