Need ideas for a bulky cristmas present for DDs stocking.

She is 12 (going on a very sensible 21!).

I've got her lots of bits and bobs:

Books
DVDs
Smellies (body shop box of stuff, nail art pens)
Small bunny lamp she wanted
Some hair waver thing
Notepad

Just need something to bulk it out as DS is 8 and has stuff that takes up a lot of room in his stocking and don't want DDs to look lacking.

She doesn't need clothes though. Am at a complete loss to think what an earth I can get just to use up some room without it being completely useless.

I bought pretty storage boxes and files from a stationers - they went down really well (and took up loads of space). Also, favourite foods - bags of crisps etc. Mine are each getting a tin of luxury hot chocolate and a large bag of marshmallows to see them through the winter. Highlighter pens always go down well. What about a magazine?

Oooohhhh stationery stuff is a good idea nd we have just decorated her bedroom so could get stuff that will go in there on her desk to put her school stuff in.

Sainsburys has the very large jaffe cakes tube thing 3 foot long thingy which my dd2 is getting (jaffa cakes are like gold dust in house). Plus i get her baby wipes as she cleans her face with then ( she has a massive box from asda ) maybe your dds fav everyday shower gel put wrap up 3 of them together

I got my DD an owl cushion from Primark, she likes the Sass & Belle ones but the Primark one was only £6.

I had th same problem, DD, also 12, as all she wanted was wigs and make up, looks awful compared to my other DCs mass of plastic!

I got her a few polistirine wig stands and am going to try and find some cheep make up bags to put the make up and toiletries In, to bulk them up.

Also have the same problem with there under the tree pressie, she knows hers is more expensive, but with be passing DD2 a box as big as her and a big box for DS too- they seam to be making the mobile phone boxes as small as humanly possible I'm thinking of saving a big box and filling it with polistirine balls, so she has to find it

I know you said not clothes but what about a lovely fluffy dressing gown? I've got DS1 (11) a lovely one which will really bulk out his stocking xx

This might be a funny question but what do you actually use as stockings to be able to fit this stuff in? We use socks so it has to be small things, your stockings must be huge!

Does she still play board games?

Popcorn to go with DVDs? Shampoo and conditioner - boring, but maybe something a bit "posher" than she'd usually use. Magazine. Puzzle book. Snazzy cube of tissues.

I have bought a proper old school version of monopoly for one of my DDs stockings, she saw it at someones house and was entranced by its simplicity and asked FC for one!

If she has a desk poundland are doing a desk tidy set. For a Pound you get a box file, pen holder, box of notelets and a small desk tidy. In white with funky stripes. Not bad for one pound and would fill out a santa sack.

How about a onsie they do good ones in primark.

A set of those big ear phones for listening to music?

Creative packaging in the name of disguising pressies. You could even put the main small present in lots of different size boxes - like pass the parcel. Makes it more intriguing to open, as well as taking up a huge amount of space in the sack.
