I want to get some really fun boxed games for my 4yo dd to play with us or her friends. She has Buckaroo, and I was thinking of getting Operation. What else would you recommend?

My DS loves his giant snakes and ladders.

Pig goes pop?
I'm not sure if it's any good but have seen the t.v. ad.

My ds loves the Orchard toys board games especially Incy wincy spider.

Frustration. Or dominoes.

pateran · 27/11/2012 10:21

What about Hungry Hippos or A game used to be called Mr Pop sometimes called Funny Faces.

Rachog · 27/11/2012 10:23

Pop goes froggio is a favourite in our house. Jenga, kerplunk and operation have gone down well and they liked pumpaloons but it broke really quickly.

Rachog · 27/11/2012 10:24

Oh they do like pig goes pop too.

WillColbert · 27/11/2012 10:24

At that age my DS really liked Hungry Hippos and Snail's Pace Race.

I've bought the very hungry caterpillar for DD for Christmas, I a hoping it goes down well :)

My 4yo loves guess who at the moment. We've bought pop up pirate (half price for 7.50 ) for Christmas.
Agree about orchard games - my dd loves shopping list and we've also got her "pop to the shops"

BlueChampagne · 27/11/2012 13:46

Ours (5 and 3) enjoy The Merry Game of Floundering (Rocket Games, about a fiver).

pigleychez · 27/11/2012 14:00

DD1 is 4 and is getting some Orchard games and Pop up Pirate for Xmas.

She already has some Orchard games and they are great fun and also educational.

derekthehamster · 27/11/2012 14:01

Pop up pirate is just the best game ever Grin

RubberNeckerNicker · 27/11/2012 14:03

Yes to the Orchard Games - my two particularly love Dotty Dinosaurs, Shopping List and Pop to the Shops (they are 3 and 5)
Hungry Hippos is another one they can play together unsupervised.
Snakes and Ladders

Ker plunk
Orchard toys again, mine like crazy chefs (same as the shopping list) and cockadoodlemoo (sound bingo)

kiwidreamer · 27/11/2012 14:10

DS is 4.5yrs and is getting Orchard Toys 'shopping list' and Tomy 'Pop up Pirate' for Christmas... I have Connect 4 and Guess Who in the cupboard but I don't think he is quite ready for them yet, they will keep for next year!
